Indeed, the thought that forms the artistic view of the literary text organizes the syntactic composition in the text, so the only way to reach that thought is to understand the syntactic meanings derived from the syntactic composition. That is, whenever the view of pessimism prevails over the text, the meanings derived from the syntactic composition appropriate to that view prevail over the text. We observe this in the novel" The Second Dog War" by Palestinian novelist Ibrahim Nasrallah, which is dominated by pessimism, because the characters in the novel are very negative and opportunistic, In particular, the protagonist of the novel, Rashed, who transcends all moral and social values in the pursuit of her own interests, in such a way tha

Knowing the “other” paves the way for the rise of a new discipline named the science of image or imageology. This discipline is one of the branches of Comparative Literature, and it studies the picture of the “other” in literary texts. The image of the “other” is formed through the familiarity of the scholar under the name of “Me” with the other under the name of the “other”, and its analysis is based upon the tenets that imageologists have laid down. The most important of these tenets are as follows: modes of reading the “other”, and the influential factors in image-making. Since the study of imageology gives way to the knowing of different peoples and the awareness of their culture and civilization, therefore it is
Abdul Malik Mortaz, Algerian scholar, is one of the few scholars, trying to organize the discourse of contemporary criticism Arabic and creating its structure based on the valuable heritage of ancient Arabic critique. Without narrative, it is impossible to understand a large part of Arabic prose today; therefore, it is important to achieve an educational book that has a systematic approach. The publication of the book “In the Theory of the Novel” in 1998, was a profound exploration of narrative techniques that showed a new and harmonious way in the theory and analysis of story discourse, with a critical view of Western narrative theory, for analyzing the underlying foundations of the story, and based on the ancient heritage of the Arabi
The universal literature is an emerging theory in the field of literary critique and comparative literature whose theoretical foundations are evolving. According to this theory, the universal literature is the theory that it wants to study the elements of the universality of literature in various textsto examine the mechanism of travel of text and its entry into the world of literature. The novel, "Memory in the flesh", by AhlamMostaghanemi, is one of the successful novels of the Algerian writer who, after earning several credible awards in the Arab world, such as the Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature, was able to translate into major languages, then it was able to attend the universal literature. 'commitment problem' is one of the most important problems for the contemporary literary critics and poets of Arab world. Surprisingly, literary researcher by deep study finds that the commitment has different senses for Arab literary critics and Arab poets. literary critics see it as an obligation to social affairs, whereas Arab poets put it in the vital sphere of the freedom of speech. The study of this problem of criticism is important because it shows the difference between literary criticism and poem and that the contemporary literary critic tries to criticize poems in terms of his/her critical desires not in terms of the poetic demands and needs of the poet. Why such a deep difference emerged between critical discourse and poetic one
Sense of belonging of a person to an emotional and meaningful place makes that place valuable and distinctly interesting for him or her. This sense is associated with psychological, physical, and even social contexts. So far, most pieces of research on fictional locations have been on descriptive aspects, but dealing with a location in the light of sense of belonging justifies various psychological, emotional, and physical attachments of the characters and their mutual engagement with the story setting. In this regard, the text goes away from being a mere description of a place. The place in the novel “Enni ashtaqho elayk” has a very colorful meaning for Abou Sharar. The corresponding descriptions are based on the approach of environmen

Intellectual and cultural invasion, a new type of colonialism, makes it possible to alienate nations without war. The reflection of such an invasion on identity appears sometimes as schizophrenic symptoms, which turn the colonized into psychos alienated and disconnected from reality. Since issues such as I-Other challenge, and its clear manifestation, namely duality of East/West, are among the most important concepts of post-colonial literary criticism, post-colonial literature, especially the novel, has widely discussed the problem of identity. Arab writers have repeatedly referred to the encounter of the East and the West, and its reflection on post-colonial identity. Using the East-West encounter in the form of men and women relationship
Al-Risalah al-Baghdadiah, alternatively called Hikayat Abu al-Qasim al-Baghdadi, is adored in the Arab world as one of the most important examples of Arabic narrative heritage. As an author with firm footsteps in Arabic literature, the writer narrates the imaginary Abu al-Qasim story and describes him by paradoxical traits. To this end, he adopts the historical narration style enriched by ironical language and comic interjections. This narrative provides a real picture of the life of the Baghdad inhabitants. It depicts the reality of the life of different social groups ad reflects the values of Abbasid-era society as well as the practices and manners of the people living in the fourth century after Hejira.
