Marines play a vital role in the function and health of our planet. This role includes providing food, services and products to humans. Hence, the study of these ecosystems is important for maintaining human health and conservation and sustainable exploitation of its resources.
Marine Biology - Marine animals and Marin Biotechnology courses in this Department at Tarbiat Modares University has been founded to help students for understanding, Conservation and sustainable exploitation of the Marine ecosystems and Marine Biodiversity. This ability is provided to students through a combination of theoretical, laboratory and fieldwork learning. Also, field trips during each course provide students with the opportunity to evaluate what they have learned, enrich their knowledge, and learn through experience.
Faculty members of this department, with their international communications, keep abreast with new scientific developments in the field of marine sciences.
