The Information Technology Research Center (ITRC) is an interdisciplinary unit for research within the Tarbiat Modares University (TMU). ITRCs vision is to be nationally competitive research center serving TMU and the country. The mission of the ITRC is to advance the state of research and practice in the development and use of information technology for enhancing the performance of organizations; promote a forum for multi-disciplinary work on issues related to IT; promote research interests in the field of IT; and facilitate the exchange of information between the academic and business communities.

ITRCs main Goals are to create, encourage and promote rigorous and relevant IT research; provide a high quality multi-disciplinary IT research atmosphere. ITRCs strategies are to cooperate with industry to address IT issues through research and development; keep constituents informed of leading edge research through dissemination of information via various means such as seminars, training courses, working papers, etc. and facilitate interactions between and within academia and industry.
