Persian Language and Literature
The Persian Language and Literature Department is the legacy of the prominent and distinguished scholars who no longer live among us, it owes its existence to full-time and visiting professors who sincerely offered their teachings to quench the thirst of eager students. The Persian Language and Literature Department of Tarbiat Modares University has always been a pioneer in academic quest and its teaching staff have always tried to pursue high standards such as "novelty", "absolute authority of scientific standards", "seriousness" and "establishment of influential institutions". This persistence on adhering to such superb standards has been the cause of numerous achievements for the department, achievements and honors which have never been regarded sufficient by its faculty members or students. Today, the council of the department follows a strategy of transforming each lesson to a theoretical school in the subject, though it is aware of the obstacles lying ahead. It also endeavors to establish new disciplines, centers and sub-disciplines and expand the scope of its activities further. The department does its best to move in the right path to reach its destination; no matter what hardship or obstacles lie ahead. Future plans
